Introduction

OpenAnswer is a browser-based call center software designed to interface with the Asterisk Open-Source PBX. There are three components to the OpenAnswer software.

  • OpenConnector - NodeJs application running as a daemon that connects OpenAnswer and OpenQview clients to the Asterisk server. 
  • OpenAnswer - call center browser application (CakePHP application)
  • OpenQview (optional) - real-time call center monitoring browser application (CakePHP application), this app is optional and does not need to be installed for the call center software to work

Each component requires a domain to be assigned having identical primary domain (i.e. oc.mydomain.com, oq.mydomain.com, oa.mydomain.com).
